Marketing nut, digital native, aspiring storyteller.
In my final year of university, I had the opportunity to work on a full marketing plan for one of the best donut places in Vancouver along with a group of other Marketing students. When we came into the picture, Cartems was trying to leverage the sizeable online community they have, be a bigger presence within the local community, and build awareness around their recent move from the Downtown Eastside to a more centrally located storefront on West Pender St.
We built a plan that would help address some of Cartems' biggest marketing challenges and included mock-ups of what some of these tactics would entail. The mock-ups on the left visualize some of the suggestions we had for Cartems.
Sandwich board mock-up
One of the things we suggested was to invest in a sandwich board to be placed in a high-visibility area (Cartems is right in front of a bus stop).

Some colour changes to the signage outside to be consistent with their bright red boxes.

Imprint is UBC's premier branding conference - and in 2013 I was brought on as the Creative Director, Digital in charge of all the digital assets for the conference. Aside from helping each presenter put together their slide decks for the conference, I built the Imprint 2013 website from scratch based off a Wordpress template and maintained it for the time leading up to the conference.
Aside from all my design duties, I implemented a live-tweeting feature during the conference where delegates could tweet the hashtag #imprint2013 and have their tweets show up on the big screen as they were eating their meal in between speakers.

For my Integrated Marketing Communications course, I had to work with a team to create a integrated marketing plan which included strategies and tactics in the social media and web sphere. These are some mock-ups for a proposed website/landing page which I had built from scratch, new web creative (banner ads, Youtube tags at the end of their videos). Not shown is a video the team shot, meant to be published on Youtube.

UBC Marketing Association (UBCMA) is UBC's premiere marketing club - I spent a year as the Brand and Advertising Director responsible for all digital/print collateral, maintaining the website (which I had rebuilt from scratch). My other responsibility was to build the email newsletters that were sent out to members - this meant copywriting, designing, scheduling, and doing post-mortems on all the newsletters sent out.
In my first year of university I worked at The Runner, Kwantlen Polytechnic University's official school newspaper as a contributor. I wrote culture-related pieces (some which can be seen at my Blog) and designed front covers for the paper.
The Cavalier is the Commerce Undergraduate Society's official newspaper at UBC. Aside from writing articles, my primary responsibility was to design front covers for the paper.
These are random promotional pieces I have designed for other UBC clubs such as the eBusiness Club, BizTech Club and CUS Yearbook Committee.
These infographics were made to promote the yearly BCom Satisfaction Survey that is sent out to all the Sauder students. I was responsible for all aspects of the survey - from drafting survey questions, promoting the survey, as well as putting together a post-mortem report dissecting the survey results.
